Anne Choi Silver Bead Necklace, Sterling Silver, Long Tassel Necklace
Anne Choi Silver Bead Necklace - Sterling Silver - Long Tassel Necklace
This Anne Choi silver bead long tassel necklace features an exquisite sterling silver Limited Edition talisman bead made by Anne Choi. She thinks of her handmade beads "as an intimate form of communication, a message to one's self that one wears – a talisman, or charm, or a link to an inner world." The message on this large bead is from the author, Isak Dinesen: "The cure for anything is salt water: sweat, tears or the sea."
I combined beautiful white freshwater pearls with golden, bronze and turquoise glass Czech beads to create this one of a kind necklace. The tassel is handmade out of turquoise silk and the extender chain is oxidized sterling silver. The pearls are biwa, off-round and a single large freshwater baroque pearl with glorious luster. Tucked at the end of the 3-inch extender chain is a single pearl.
This is a necklace to enjoy for a lifetime!
Pearl signifies faith, charity and innocence and is associated with the Third Eye Chakra. It enhances personal integrity and helps to provide a focus to ones attention.
NOTE: All of my jewelry is handcrafted by me in my Nevada studio.
*This necklace is OOAK and is approximately 32 inches long (81cm) with an extra 7.5 inches (19cm) for the tassel, bead and pearl drop.

** Anne Choi's process for making each unique bead**
~ She designs and carves her own molds in leather-hard clay, which she then bisque fires
~ A wax impression is taken from this mold, encased in a plaster investment, and cast in sterling silver.
~ The rough casting is further worked into the finished piece.
~ The bead is oxidized with liver of sulfur to emphasize its design and texture.
The bisque clay mold is also fragile, and easily broken in use. For this reason, she produces an extremely limited number of each new design. After the initial pieces are made, she makes more only as the impulse strikes her.
