The purchase price (declared value) of your item will be listed on the customs form, and your item will be marked as "fashion accessory". I cannot mark your merchandise as "gift" on the customs form, as it is illegal to do so.

Additional Policies and FAQs

CRAFTSMANSHIP GUARANTEE & QUALITY CONTROL ~ My jewelry is guaranteed to be free of defects. If anything breaks (due to craftsmanship) I will repair or replace at no charge within the first three (3) months. After three months and up to one (1) year I will repair (if possible) for a small fee + shipping or replace for 50% of the original price paid.

Before shipping, I check every jump ring to be sure it is secured. If breakage occurs because of a pulled jump ring, it is because too much force was used to fasten or unfasten the clasp and I cannot be responsible for replacement of any broken components. Please treat your jewelry gently and it will last a very long time.

ELASTIC / STRETCH BRACELETS ~ I am happy to replace the elastic in my stretch bracelets for as long as you wish to wear them regardless of the reason for breakage. Please include a check to cover the cost of return shipping in the package.

LOSE AN EARRING? ~ Don't hesitate to contact me. If I still have the components to make the earring, I will gladly make one for you for half the price of the original pair.

CUSTOM ORDERS ~ I am happy to discuss custom orders or slight modifications to existing work (such as using a different focal bead, metal or combining elements you see within my site, etc). I require a $25 non-refundable design fee that will be used to cover the time it takes to create the piece, take photographs and come to a final design. There is no custom fee to switch a focal piece or metal, only to come up with a new design. Full payment is due at the time of placing the custom order. Discount Coupons may not be used on custom orders due to the extra time and costs involved with ordering materials for a custom order. 

BRACELET SIZING POLICY ~ Accurate wrist measurement is incredibly important with bracelets for the best and most comfortable fit. The best way to measure your wrist is with a fabric tape measure. The measurement should be taken at the smallest part of the wrist between the hand and wrist bone. If you don't have a fabric tape measure, you can use string and a ruler. You will need to wrap the string around your wrist and measure it. After you measure it, cut it to the length you measured. Wrap it around again and make sure that it is a perfect (not loose) fit. If it is loose and overlaps, cut again and double check, then send me the final measurement.

If the measurements you provide are not accurate, or if this is a gift and you are not able to provide exact measurements, I will be happy to adjust the size for a fee of $20 (shipping is included). If it is a leather bracelet and the length needs to be extended, there will be a fee of $30 to cover the extra cost of silver and materials.


PHOTOGRAPHY ~ Photos have been taken on macro settings for detail, and items may appear larger than they actually are. Detailed measurements are provided for each item. I do my best to ensure that colors are represented accurately, but please note that different computer screens show colors differently, and there may be some variation from what you see on your screen.

GEMSTONES ~ Please keep in mind that gemstones have natural inclusions or what some might call "imperfections." It's rare to find perfect gemstones--at least in the price point I can offer in my shop. It's also rare to find two stones that are exactly the same size and/or color. Having lived in Japan for a few years, I learned about "wabi sabi" or the worldview that is centered on the acceptance of imperfection. Perhaps that type of worldview is, in itself, a way to relieve some of the stress of the world we live in today. It is also what makes "handmade" truly handmade.
