Carnelian Root Chakra Necklace, Old African Telsum Amulet Bead
Carnelian is associated with the Root and Sacral Chakras and is one of the oldest known gemstones. It is a stone of courage and creativity. In ancient times it was considered one of the luckiest gems to wear and was thought to be a stone of protection.
Pyrite is associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra and is a strong stone to promote positive thinking and manifestation. Some say that Pyrite is a stone of intellect and protection and can help you tap into your own latent mental talents and abilities.
This beautiful ethnic root and solar plexus chakra necklace features orange Carnelian and an Ethiopian Telsum amulet prayer bead. The amulet is old and made with primitive tools, so expect some normal imperfections and wear. The exact metal content is unknown but it is a silver tone metal that has a higher silver grade than new Telsums. These African prayer bead pendants were used in Ethiopian Jewelry and believed to protect the wearer from "the evil eye." Silver Pyrite rondelle gemstones are strung through the amulet and joined by Carnelian rondelle gemstones. with Hill Tribe fine silver accent beads scattered throughout. The bead strand connects to lightly oxidized sterling silver cable chain and the necklace closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp. This unique necklace pays homage to the beautiful healing Ethiopian ethnic jewelry of the past.
